Coordinate insulation before renovation finishes
Renovations offer access to parts of a building that may soon be concealed. Use that window to coordinate insulation, services and inspections so the finished surfaces do not need to be reopened unnecessarily.
Mark the areas being opened
Identify walls, floors and ceilings included in the renovation. Separate the confirmed scope from optional improvements. Ask the project team to inspect newly exposed conditions before assuming the initial design can proceed unchanged.
Coordinate the trade sequence
List framing changes, service installation, repairs and required inspections before insulation and closure. Give each step an owner. Where the insulation scope depends on another trade, record the condition that must be met before work starts.
Keep a concealment record
Photograph the accepted work with room references before finishes cover it. Retain product information and any approved changes. Agree who releases the area for closure so a scheduling decision is not mistaken for technical acceptance.
